Site Quality Assurance Auditor / Assistant Compliance Manager

Are you an experienced asbestos professional with a passion for raising standards, improving compliance and influencing site performance? This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a junior management level role within a growing SHEQ team, where your work will directly shape safety and quality across multiple sites.
The Role
This position combines site auditing, compliance support and quality assurance responsibilities. You will work across operational sites and head office, helping drive continual improvement in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality performance.
You won’t just be auditing — you’ll be coaching teams, influencing best practice and playing a key role in company-wide compliance development.
Key Responsibilities
Site Auditing & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits on asbestos removal and inspection sites
- Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Support close-out of audit findings with site teams and management
Coaching & Support
- Provide on-site mentoring and guidance to operational staff
- Promote positive safety culture and best practice standards
Reporting & Quality Assurance
- Compile audit reports and fault analysis documentation
- Assist in closing out corrective actions in line with company procedures
- Peer review Plans of Work where required
SHEQ & Business Support
- Attend and contribute to H&S and compliance meetings
- Support investigations into complaints and non-conforming works
- Assist with refresher training and Toolbox Talks
- Support SHEQ authorisations once competent
About You
- Strong background in asbestos removal, inspection, or site compliance
- Sound knowledge of current asbestos regulations and HSE licensing expectations
- Experience in auditing, quality assurance, or site inspection
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels
- Organised, methodical and detail-focused
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel, occasional overnight stays and flexible hours
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- CSCS card desirable
