We specialise in providing occupational hygiene, health and safety, environment and hazardous materials services, training, support, and solutions for our clients.

The opportunity

We have a highly qualified team of hazardous materials specialists and a team of eight Certified Occupational Hygienists (COHs) within a national team of approximately 95 employees.  Our leadership, technical, operations, and corporate support are based around the country in Perth (Head Office), Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin and Kalgoorlie.

Due to our continued growth and the winning of some large-scale HazMat projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant – HazMat with over 10 years of experience in Asbestos and other Hazardous Materials to join our HazMat team in Perth, Western Australia and support the growth of our HazMat function.

About you

You are a proven professional with experience in the following areas.

  • Surveying, air monitoring, inspection and project management related to asbestos and hazardous materials.
  • Pre and post remediation risk assessments and post remediation verification assessments.
  • Preparing and reviewing Technical Reports.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining asbestos/hazardous materials management plans, registers and/or removal documentation.
  • Understanding the requirements of NATA accredited asbestos analysis (fibre counting, bulk ID and soils) and laboratory procedures.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop a client base and build market share.
  • Preparation of proposals and contributing to Tenders and Opportunities.

You will bring the following.

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in the asbestos and hazardous materials industry.
  • Ideally, holds P402, P404 and P405 qualifications.
  • Strong experience in using relevant asbestos/hazardous materials management software (e.g., AlphaTracker, TEAMS, etc.).
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus on the tasks at hand.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise a diverse workload and great at planning work activities.
  • Ability to be flexible with working arrangements; site travel is often dictated by client requirements.
  • Enthusiasm and can-do outlook.
  • Enjoys working proactively with clients and developing relationships.
  • Be willing to engage with and contribute to a growing dynamic team.
